Privacy policy

This service is operated by the operator of MailFinder Pro. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the choices you have.
What we handle
- Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Contact data you submit: names, company domains and email addresses that you enter or upload, and any other columns in your CSV files.
- Usage records: how many contacts your account has checked each day, and your API key names and last-used dates. Full API keys aren't stored.
- Payment records: plan, amount, date and payment references. Card, UPI and bank details go directly to our payment provider, and we don't receive them.
- Technical data: your IP address, used to apply usage limits and protect the service.
We don't use advertising or analytics. Logging in stores a session token in your browser so that you stay logged in. Our payment provider may use its own cookies during checkout.
Why we use it
- To run the checks you ask for and show you the results.
- To provide your account, apply plan allowances and process payments.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. To provide the service, data is shared with these kinds of providers, who handle it under their own policies:
- Mail and internet infrastructure: to check an address, details of that address are sent to the mail servers and email providers for its domain, to DNS services, and to public directories and profile services.
- Database and login hosting: account data is stored with our database provider, in a data centre in India.
- Payment processing: our payment provider handles paid plans.
- Hosting: the provider that runs our servers.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Bulk lists and results: held in memory only, and deleted about an hour after upload, or sooner if the server restarts.
- Single searches: not stored after the result is shown.
- Account data: kept until you delete your account.
- Payment records: kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, without the link to your account once it's deleted.
- Limit counters: include your IP address, and are cleared within about a day.
- Security logs: our hosting may keep short-lived technical logs for security and troubleshooting.
If you use this service to check other people's details
You decide whose details you submit and why. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to do so, and for following the data protection and anti-spam laws that apply to you. We don't send email to the addresses you check, and we don't publish results.
If your address has been checked
Someone may have submitted your business address to this service. We don't keep a directory of results. You can ask us questions or object to this processing using the contact details below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a complaint. You can delete your account at any time from your account area. For anything else, contact us below. If we don't resolve your complaint, you may be able to approach your data protection authority, such as the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, access controls and limited data retention. No online service can promise complete security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your API keys private.
Children
This service is for business use by people aged 18 or over.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
